Abstract

Thanks to these discoveries and her extraordinary talent, despite difficult conditions in which she lived, she became the first Slovak female botanist whose place in the history of botany is really unique. She found the precious botanical treasures in Blatnická and Gaderská valleys situated in the Veľká Fatra Mts. Her copious herbarium is deposited at the Department of Botany of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Comenius University in Bratislava.
