Abstract

On 17 November 2015 tragically died in a road accident RNDr. Peter Lupták, head of the Zoological Department of the Bojnice Zoological garden, at the age of 45. He was born on 8 September 1970 in Lučenec. Peter graduated from the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Commenius University in Bratislava, where he afterwards worked as an PhD student. In 2001 he joined on the Bojnice Zoological garden, where he worked, to his untimely death. The passing of Peter Lupták means a tremendous loss for the world of zoos and zoologist.
