 26th Seminar of Czech and Slovak Dipterologists

 

 

 

Dear participants,

 We welcome you to the website of the Seminar of Czech and Slovak Dipterologists. We are pleased to announce that 41 participants have registered for this event, not only from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, but also from Poland and Hungary, and if we also consider the nationalities of the registered PhD students, from Croatia and Turkey as well.

 

Venue

The town of Banská Štiavnica will host the dipterologists’ seminar participants for the second time. Those of us who have been around longer surely remember September 2003, when the 17th seminar was held here. For more information about the town see:

Accommodation
The majority of participants will be accommodated at the Black M Guesthouse; however, due to the unexpectedly high number of registrations, some participants will be accommodated at the Skautský dom Hostel (https://hostel.stiavnica.sk) and at the Panorama Guesthouse. Room assignments have taken into account both your requests and the experience and contributions of the registered participants.

 

Catering
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be served at the Black M Guesthouse for all seminar participants, according to your stated preferences.

 

Programme

In total, 29 oral presentations and 4 posters have been registered (the number of posters may increase). 
Oral presentations can be delivered in Slovak, Czech, or English. Texts in PowerPoint presentations must be in English.
Each oral presentation is allocated 15 minutes, including discussion time.

 

Excursions
Thirteen people have registered for the visit to the Glanzenberg adit. Only two participants showed interest in the walking tour around the mining reservoirs (tajchy in local language) in the vicinity of Banská Štiavnica; therefore, this excursion option has been cancelled.
