Dr. Slawomir Wierzba pôsobí na University of Opole v Poľsku, na Katedre Biotechnológii a molekulárnej biológii.
Na FPV UMB predniesol tieto prednášky:

1. Sorption - definition, types, influence of external factors on the sorption process, sorption mechanisms, ion exchange, examples of adsorbents, examples of applications of sorption. The lecture will expand knowledge about the use of biological materials in the sorption processes of pollutatnts from aqueous solutions.
2. Planning sorption experiments, preparing the absorbent, carrying out the experiment, static and dynamic method of sorption, kinetics and sorption balance. The lecture will contain information on the practical aspects of conducting sorption experiments.
