Abstract:
The aim of the paper is to introduce those sustainable urban mobility (SUM) concepts, which have a representation in geography. Based on a study of 60 papers dealing with SUM from the Web of Science and Scopus databases for the years 2007 to 2017, the most common geographical terms associated with the SUM issue were identified. These are land use, urban fragmentation, urban form, consequences of urban sprawl, distance, space-time travel patterns and travel behaviour, regional specifics of urban transport, and accessibility. The larg-est thematic overlap with the SUM issue occurs in the fields of urban, behavioural and transport geography. Methods and knowledge from time geography and remote sensing have been used in the SUM research as well.
