Abstract:
The main objective of this work is the virtual reconstruction of previously chosen, defunct historical water reservoir, Geramb lake. From the measured values, a digital model of the current state was created and its original state was obtained by its modifications. The main objective was to define the basic dimensions and hydrological characteristics of the studied area. Field research and geographic mapping of the water reservoir, dyke body and its surroundings took place in the area of Banská Štiavnica in the locality of Tereň. The surveying of geodetic points took place on 8th and 30th of November in 2018. Two geodetic assemblies consisting of the GNSS RTK rover Stonex S9III PLUS with Stonex S4H controller were used. These were managed by Carlson Surv CE software application. An authentic digital model of the current state of water reservoir was created upon finish. Its original form was modelled in Surfer11. Digital data processing can be benefit both to the historical knowledge of the mining region and to the increase in the possibilities for tourist use of this defunct water reservoir.
